The Cornhusker games for 2009 are in the history books. We increased our number of participants from last year.
Mark your calendar! The badminton tournament of the Cornhusker State Games is scheduled for July 18th and will be held in Omaha at the University of Nebraska Medical Center gym. We are expecting a large turnout this year. Check out the cornhuskerstategames.org website for details and updates.
The 2009 Ray Scott Open is scheduled to take place at the Papillion-La Vista High School gym on October 10 – 11th this year. Don’t miss out on the fun and the famous International Potluck. Check back often for details.
If the weather is severe on a Sunday we may have to cancel badminton for the safety of all players. Top Flight members should check their email at around 3 PM on the storm day for cancellations.
Please note that there is no badminton at the high school gym on Sunday, April 5th. Badminton will resume on April 12.
We have seen a huge increase in number of players recently. A problem we hadn’t had in the past is a need to share the courts. Fortunately, most people have been patient and understanding and no one goes home without a good night of exercise.
Plans are underway for the 2008 Ray Scott Open. As in previous years, it will be held at the Papillion High School Gym, 402 E. Centennial Rd., Papillion, NE. The dates are October 11 and 12. The Ray Scott Open over. It was a great tournament with 60 players from many states.
Thirty-eight players participated in the badminton tournament at the Goodrich Middle School in Lincoln. Players ranged in age from 7 to 75.
